Integral Asset Management

Teaching the fundamental principles of All-In-Consequence-Based Accounting and Wealth Metrics!

We’d like to have a world that worked ‘better’.

We’d like to feel that our values are reflected in our daily lives and the management of our finances.  But few of us take the time to understand the foundations of the systems upon which we depend and how we blindly perpetuate the very things we say we wish to see changed.

Join Dr. David Martin for Integral Asset Management Course

The purpose of this course is to teach the fundamental principles of our current systems of value, establish a definition of what we truly value, and the transformational All-In-Consequence-Based Accounting and Wealth Metrics using Integral Accounting.

We will examine the historical basis of modern economic systems and theory; the untested assumptions associated with value and trade metrics; the ‘costs’ and ‘benefits’ of models of profit-based economic models; and, comparative consequence-based assessment of scarcity and abundance based accounting.

Using Integral Accounting Principles, students will gain practical experience in 6-dimension cost accounting and reporting.

What's Included

Module 1

Abbreviated History of Monetary Systems - From the Sumerians and Akkadians to Present

We think that “money” has been a relatively consistent phenomenon across human history.  Nothing could be further from the truth.  Understanding the history of ascribing value to things (and who architected that history) goes a long way to seeing how we wound up in the system we’re in.

In this first lesson, you will read one article and watch one video.

Module 2

The World views that Shape our Values (and what we value)

Value is a byproduct of stories.  What society says is important shapes the utilities used to back up those stories.  Trying to untangle your own thoughts from the illusions you’ve been handed is tricky.  Realizing that you need to examine YOUR OWN life and its values is the first step.

This lesson has two readings and one video to watch.

Module 3

The Mechanics of Money - How Does it Work and Who Benefits from It?

You will never think about cash, home mortgages, insurance, or investments the same again after sitting through these two hours.  Understanding the motivations behind what we call investment products and the parasitic beneficiaries who prey on millions of unsuspecting people will give you the tools to question your own assumptions and ask hard questions of your advisors.

Lesson three includes one video to watch.

Module 4

Modern Portfolio Theory and Why Markowitz Duped the Nobel Prize Committee

“Risk-free” and “risky” are code words for, “Don’t ask.”  Well, we go ahead and ask the awkward question that no financial manager has been willing to ask.  Are the models used to control economies and estimate returns legitimate or are they illusions themselves?  While it will feel like you need pain relivers for the headache afterward, this module is the one you’re never supposed to hear.

Lesson four has one reading and a video to watch.

Module 5

Integral Accounting - The All-In-Consequence View of the World

Going from 3-D illusions to 6-D reality in a day… that sounds too good to be true!  Relax, it’s actually easy when you Slow to the Speed of Consciousness.  We break down the components of how to examine the world and see how notions of ‘profit’ are often derived from the failure to account for inputs into the system.

In this lesson you will read one article, watch a video, and do your first assignment!

Module 6

Building Your Portfolio Aligned to Your Values

Customary financial advice attempts to exploit fear and ‘risk management’.  What would happen if you blew up those illusions and aligned your assets to their present and future productivity?  What if you could see the world as aligned for your success rather than out to get you.  Unwinding fear of the future goes a long way towards getting real in the present.

There is one video for this lesson.

Financial Literacy 101 - Reading Financial Statements in 6 Dimensions

Could you actually have better investment performance if you invested in 6-D values?  Not only can you, in this module I demonstrate a portfolio explicitly build on Integral Values and show how it has historically out-performed the S&P.  Don’t fall for the centuries-old myth that you have to sacrifice return for values.  You can do well and do good at the same time.

In this lesson you will watch the seventh video in this course and complete assignment two!

So where do we go from here?

Building asset management schemes that account for your personal values and humanity’s best outcomes is not only feasible.  It’s rather straightforward.  We conclude this class with a detailed description on how to build a portfolio that is value-based and sensitive to the transitions that are happening in the market today.

In this lesson you will be reading an article and watch a video.
